After much waiting and with almost a year more of waiting to go, here is the first look at the much-hyped follow up to “Man of Steel”.
Coming in with the longest movie title since “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies”, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” finally brings DC Comics’ two most iconic heroes together on the big screen and things are definitely looking dark, gritty, and various shades of black and blue. The film finds dark tides beginning to turn against the Man of Steel who is finding out that not everyone is thanking him for saving the world; that might have to do something with destroying half of Metropolis during his grudge match in the first film. Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne also seems pretty upset with Superman, issuing a pretty serious challenge to the invincible man, but he is Batman so we all know he can probably back up that threat. During the trailer we can also hear Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor warning us about trusting Superman and Jeremy Irons as Alfred giving a dire warning to Master Wayne. Also unseen and unheard are Aquaman and Wonder Woman who have been confirmed for the film (with The Flash and a few other heroes rumored) as Warner Brothers attempt to collectively introduce the entire Justice League in one film. “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” gets serious in theaters March 25, 2016.
