Rumors had it and now it’s been confirmed. Channing Tatum will be starring in the “Gambit” film and is set to be released on October 7, 2016. Gambit, also known as Remy LeBeau, is a mutant with a thick Cajun accent who can control kinetic energy and skillful in card-throwing and close-contact combat. Gambit will be one of the three X-Men films to hit the big screen in 2016, with X-Men: Apocalypse opening on May 18, 2016 and Deadpool opening on February 10, 2016 according to IMDB.
As Gambit is known for his irresistible womanizing charm, it will be interesting to see People’s Magazine: Sexiest Man Alive portray the cool combative mutant. Given that Gambit releases after X-Men: Apocalypse, it’s hard to say Tatum won’t be making an appearance in the movie. While that is yet to be officially confirmed, looks like 2016 will be one heroic year for Twentieth Century Fox.
