Our Collective Lifestyle team got a chance to go out to the 2nd edition of Further Future, just a little north of Las vegas. Despite the wet weather, festival goers from all over still came out to enjoy the good weekend vibes that Further Future producers, Robot Heart, had to offer. With a beautiful secluded scenery, aesthetically pleasing and meaningful art installations, good music, and good people, Further Future FF002 was definitely a success. Only being in it’s second year, the numbers in attendance compared to last year have seemed to double in size. It looks like Further Future is here to stay and will only get bigger and better each year.
Even with rainy weather, festival goers still had an amazing time. It didn’t seem like the rain was stopping anyone. Although furniture got wet, making it hard to sit and enjoy the couches and fun mattresses, it was still enjoyable. One could only imagine how amazing and peaceful it would have felt at Further Future without the wet weather.
Further Future had everything from an amazing artist lineup and experience, which included The Pharcyde on Saturday night, who played a different than usual, yet perfect set for a festival experience, which featured DJ Mike Relm. Speaking of DJs, you could catch an early Saturday, all vinyl DJ set from DJ Kid Koala, which even got a Conga Line going! This all happened despite weather warnings for lightning, which shut down the main stage for parts of the day. (Side note: If you see any of our pictures with minimal amounts of people, that’s probably just because of the rain, once it cleared up during the night time you could see everyone come out and play.)
The Further Future transformational festival experience even included a wide array of speakers who spoke about anything from startups, business, consciousness, meditation, evolution, the future, how our bodies work, and more. It was very informative on so many levels. It was just great programming and speaker selection by the Further Future staff. You could even take classes on yoga and meditation or even get pampered and get makeup done at the day spa.
Overall, our team had a blast there! The people, the music, the food, the installations, and beauty of Further Future was just an amazing transformational experience. If you need any extra little push to make your decision to go to the next one, let it be this… You should go! It will be an amazing experience for you! Hopefully we’ll see you there next year!
