Gamescon 2015: “We Happy Few” Is Cheerfully Unsettling

Joyful people are generally nice to be around.

People who have had their personalities altered thanks to a drug called “Joy” are probably not.

This is a major plot point for the new indie game, We Happy Few, which takes place in a retro-future version of England where the populace all seem to shop at the same creepy mask store. Players will be given the task of escaping the totalitarian city before the local notice you are not one of them. Looking like a cross between Bioshock and Dishonored by way of A Clockwork Orange, the procedurally generated game is coming to Windows 10 and XBox One June 2016.
