For most DJs and producers, it’s hard enough to keep track of and sustain one career. For Henry Steinway, one just isn’t enough. Steinway, better known as the trap god, RL Grime, AND electro house dynamo, Clockwork, has already had a career fit for (literally) two lifetimes… And he’s only 23.
His RL Grime pseudonym gained notoriety first from a collaborative effort with producer Salva on a remix of Kanye West’s “Mercy”, a massive trap tune that is still a staple in countless DJ sets. Then an official remix of Benny Benassi’s “Satisfaction” solidified him as a top tier trap producer.
With countless EPs, fans have become anxious as to when the thriving musician would finally release an LP. Well, good news, the wait is over! On July 8th, Grime announced that he will finally be releasing a debut album. No other information has been given at this time, but his Twitter feed declared a statement on the same day that got the Twittersphere hyped, “GRIME SEASON APPROACHING”.
The first single off his album is slated to be released on July 15th and is entitled “Core”. The trap music following should be very excited for this announcement as we await more details on what is sure to be a massive release from the multi-talented Steinway.
