The “Silent Hill” series has fallen on hard times as of late. Once heralded as the shining example of survival horror games the series has seen its credibility decay thanks to sequels that were simply diminishing returns of the series’s best parts. However a unlikely trio of famous names have stepped in to bring the horror back to the infamous titular city. Famed game creator Hideo Kojima (the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series) has teamed up with film director Guillermo del Toro (“Pan’s Labyrinth”, “Pacific Rim”) to flesh out the story and together they have enlisted Norman Reedus (Walking Dead fan favorite Daryl Dixon) to lend a voice and face to the main character about to face unspeakable horrors. No time frame for a release has been set other than a possible 2016 date but this is one project you will want to keep an eye on.
