Jeans are one fashion staple that never goes out of style, the cut of them may change over time but the durable denim’s popularity each season is as dependable as a love triangle in a soap opera. For the past few seasons we watched as the skinny jean took over the denim world. Sure the skinnies have a classic look but flares and bell bottoms are rising in popularity this spring and besides it would be nice to wear a pair of jeans that I don’t need the Jaws of Life to remove.
The revival of seventies fashion has helped to bring back flares and bell bottoms, these pants might not be anything new but definitely a much needed change from previous denim styles. Flares look great on many body types so it is the perfect spring trend to try, pair with a high heel for a stylish silhouette that will make you look like you just walked straight off the runway. To avoid looking like one of Charlie’s Angels do not pair your flares with too many other seventies inspired pieces (think peasant tops). A classic cardigan or a fitted blazer are both perfect pieces to pair with flares for a polished look. Want a look that is effortless and chic; try your seventies inspired denim with an oversized button up shirt or a tucked in blouse. To wear your flares in a more relaxed way pair with a cable knit sweater which looks trendy and is perfect for those cool spring nights.
