“Dieting” has become one of the biggest trends in America today. People want to look and feel like the people they see in magazines and television. There are a plethora of commercials encouraging quick diets and fat cutting pills, but dieting doesn’t work for everyone. Some of us dieters need a reality check!
Cutting a Few Things Out
The first step to dieting is eliminating certain foods from your diet. This is easier said then done. It’s very ideal to say you’re going to cut out sweets, maybe soda, and hey why not throw in fried food. But when midnight strikes and your fridge is calling it is more than likely that you will answer. Cutting things out is easier said than done so start off small with a few things and work your way up!
Where are My Results?!
One of the most prevalent problems of dieting are the results. We want our results like we want everything else – NOW! This is a fast paced society and people aren’t used to having to wait for things society tells us we should have immediately. There lies the challenge with dieting, you can’t rush the process. You have to be patient and wait for your results. Remember, however long it took you to put on that weight, it will take twice as long to get off!
Simply “Dieting” isn’t Enough
So eliminating a few things from our diet here and there should definitely make the weight fall right off…right? Eh, not quite. Dieting isn’t enough. You get out what you put in, so if you want to lose the weight and feel your best you have to do the right things. You have to exercise as well and get proper amounts of sleep along with changing your eating habits if you want real results.
