Pack your bags and groove your way to Canada for the upcoming Motion Notion Festival 2017. Motion Notion is an electronic music, art, and nature festival that takes place at the Beaverfoot Lodge in the heart of the Rocky Mountains near Golden BC, Canada. The festivities will begin from August 24th through August 28th. If you’re the adventurous type, this is an event where festival goers can appreciate music and nature all at once.

There are four stages you should check out at the festival:

Independent Stages

There are various stages you can visit depending on the artists you want to see. These are independent artists, who design their own stages for the audience to experience. A variation of genres will be showcased throughout the festival. Operating hours will begin from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The Temple

The Temple is one of the unique stages held within the festival ranging from the type of music being played throughout the day. The music will change depending if you are visiting the stage during the day or at night. There will be upbeat music being played during the day, such as dubstep. At night, a more psychedelic type of sound will fill the stage, you’re in for a surprise. A fun fact is The Temple will be running 24 hours a day starting Thursday on August 24th at 4 p.m.

The Cabana by PK and Space Invaderz

PK and Space Invaderz are the masterminds behind The Cabana stage. The Cabana stage is made out of bamboo and will be opened from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The music is mostly bass oriented with plenty of drum’n bass, glitch-hop, dubstep, breaks, funks, and some electro & house. Be prepared to dance the night away to some incredible music while being surrounded with breathtaking art.

NEST dome

Finally, here is the NEST dome, a waterproof stage having enough space for people to enjoy the dynamic 3D visuals and music at the same time. The dome contains three powerful projectors and a multi-channel sound system that creates a 360° audio and visual experience. There will be also another waterproof dome which includes a futuristic LED-bar walk-through art installation. Inside the second dome, there will be a lounge with mats and cushions provided. No shoes are permitted in this area.

The headliners for this year includes the known house and dubstep DJ Datsik, Avalon, along with Dirtyphonics, Koan Sound, The M Machine, and Minnesota. Also tagging along is beat-boxer 80Fitz, Abstrakt Sonance, Desert Dwelers, Inf1n1te, Space Jesus, and more.
