As a big fan of the skateboarding community, Street League Skateboarding (SLS), invited Collective Lifestyle to cover the event. The SLS Pros were ready to go and make moves in the first leg of the SLS Tour.
But first, lets take a look at what Nike SB was offering to the community. Outside of the USC Galen Center, Nike SB showcased Paul Rodriguez (P-Rod) upcoming shoe.
Nike SB also had their trailer which consisted of t-shirts and 3/4 shirts that skaters were able to customize.
Shoe heads were also in the building with a few memorable SB’s.

On this leg of the tour, they changed up the rules on how the 25 skaters could qualify for the finals. Skaters were divided into 5 heats and the top 8 with overall scores advanced to the finals. Each skater had (2) 45 sec runs and (5) best trick. Judges then took top 4 out of 7 scores and that determined the skaters score.

Funny story is that the skater who helped designed this leg of the course ended up winning the first leg of the SLS tour.
As the preliminary rounds started, skaters had no hesitation to bring out the best combinations and give a show to LA.
